It's been a while and I have something I'd like to share.
For a long time I’ve been suffering from gender dysphoria and for the past couple of years I’ve started to do something about it. I’ve been slowing telling more and more people and have even been presenting as female in public. Next week I have an appointment with a doctor to discuss …
Is anyone watching the eclipse? I’m watching the Astra launch for now but I might go check out the moon afterwards.
After taking a “short” 6-month pause I’ve started my AFI 100 list again… 91. Sophie’s Choice (1982) directed by Alan J. Pakula ★★★½ – This was not even close to what I was epecting and without Meryl Streep I would have wondered what all the fuss was about.
Lazy Sunday.
My new favorite place in San Jose is Excess Solutions where they sell used surplus electronics.
I had to add support for m.b but I’m quite happy with my new link site. It’s built using littlelink.io.
I broke a terminal on my receiver and this is my crude attempt at a repair.
Looking for recommendations on where to stay in Portland for a couple of days in September. Also, if there is anything I should checkout while I’m there.
Are apps crashing a lot for anyone else in iOS 15 beta 3? 🛠📱
🍿 Black Widow (2021) directed by Cate Shortland ★★★★ – It might be because I’ve missed going to the movies so much, but this could be the best Marvel movie I’ve seen in a while. Scarlett and Florence were so great together!
I visited Point Bonita for the first time last weekend. The lighthouse wasn’t accessible so I’ll have to go back when that’s open again.
🎥 Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) directed by Céline Sciamma ★★★★½ – I know I’m late to the party on this one, but wow. That was incredible.

92. Goodfellas (1990) directed by Martin Scorsese ★★★★½ — I’ll never watch Home Alone the same way again. Joe Pesci is absolutely terrifying. 🎥
93. The French Connection (1971) directed by William Friedkin ★★★★ — My favorite fact about it is that Popeyes Chicken is named after Gene Hackman’s character from the film. 🎥
On Friday I drove up to the Lick Observatory located on Mount Hamilton. Most of it was closed to the public so I’ll definitely be going back once things are opened up again.
94. Pulp Fiction (1994) directed by Quentin Tarantino ★★★★½ — Easily my favorite Tarantino. It also has one of my all-time favorites lines: “Aww man, I shot Marvin in the face.” 🎥
95. The Last Picture Show (1981) directed by Peter Bogdanovich ★★★★ — The performances made it worth it, especially by Leachman and Johnson. 🎥🍿
