Nipple confidence, all lesbians have slept with each other, Shane – it’s nice to finally know where all of those things come from. Parts of it were very mid-2000s which I didn’t really care for. And I didn’t think some of the acting was very good at times, but overall I totally enjoyed it. It’s very much about the girls so I’ll elaborate more on each one of them:
Slight spoilers ahead…
- Alice: I thought I was going to hate her, but she ended up being one of my favorites. Probably the funniest one of the group.
- Bette: I kind of get it, but damn, girl. Also, you should have used the video tape.
- Dana: Started out as my favorite and stayed that way. So niave, but so likable.
- Jenny: I liked her arch a lot more than I expected to. It was a bit rough at times but I was pulling for her in the end.
- Lisa: This may be controversial to say, but I don’t like that he considers himself a lesbian. If his character was around today, I’m 100% sure that wouldn’t fly and instead he would come out as trans halfway through the season.
- Kit: Proud of you!
- Tina: I hope to see more from her going forward. She deserves better.
- Shane: Who knew she had a heart?
My favorite moments (major spoilers)…
- Everyone teasing Dana for being so gay
- Dana and Jenny’s incredibly awkard sex scene
- When Alice showed up at Dana’s door at the end. I totally called it when they agreed to never sleep together, but I didn’t see it happening like that.
On to season 2…
